Waterproof
All shoes should be treated with a water stain repellent prior to wearing. If a shoe is manufactured to be waterproof this will be achieved with a bag waterproof liner. This liner will stop your feet from getting wet but in no way does it stop the outer layer of the shoe or boot from getting wet. We recommend Super Protector waterproof spray; this will waterproof, protect against salt stains, and allow the shoe/boot to remain breathable.
Stains
To remove salt stains use a mixture of equal parts white vinegar and water. Apply this mixture to the shoe using a spray bottle or a non-lint producing cloth. After application allow footwear to dry then use either a clean cloth or stiff bristle brush to clean the footwear depending on the type of leather.
Leather
Leather is like our skin it will dry out and crack if not conditioned properly. Treating leather occasionally with an oiled leather sponge will add conditioners back into leather. The shoe should be clean and then simply wiped down with an "oil sponge". For patent leathers an "instant shine sponge" will bring back that “like NEW” shine.
